#YNaijaSportsExtra: See the Underdogs vs the Top dogs for the NBA finals

It’s time for the NBA finals and two big-name teams, the Miami Heats and the Los Angeles Lakers are set to face each other.

The Miami Heats Sunday, clinched a finals spot defeating the Boston Celtics. The turn of events leading to the Heats finals appearance is inspirational, to say the least. During the regular season, the Heats were the fifth seed in the eastern conference, and no one expected they would even make it half as far as they have.

First off, they had to go through an evenly matched squad in the Indiana Pacers, during the first round of the playoffs, and while it was projected that they would emerge victoriously, no one expected them to beat the Pacers 4-0.

Next on their schedule was the Milwaukee Bucks, the team of the reigning defending Most Valuable Player(MVP) of the league, and the Heats were projected to lose, yet somehow they took a resounding win and made sports analysts all over the world question the fortitude of the MVP.

And finally, in the conference finals, they faced a highly stacked Boston team, and were projected to lose again, but instead shocked the basketball world by winning fairly easy.

While the Heats are the Eastern Conference champions, to get to the NBA trophy, they must go through the most imposing team in the league, led by arguably the best Basketball player of all time, LeBron James. This is no easy feat and odd makers have this bout at 70-1 in favour of the Lakers.

The Lakers have rammed through every team they faced in the west and all that stands in the way of LeBron’s fourth NBA title and the first title win for the Lakers since 2010, when the late great Kobe Bryant led them to it is the Miami heats.

Both teams have something to prove and the NBA universe will be treated to such an interesting matchup for the finals, the Underdogs vs the Top dogs.
