There is no doubt that President Muhammadu Buhari, is one of the most talked-about persons in the country. Everyone is always anxious to say one or two remarks about the president either in hailing him or slamming him. While most of his supporters come from the north, this new trend from that part of the country appears to be a congratulatory message to the President for his ‘failures.’
In a recent report, one of the eminent pressure groups in the North, the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) took a heavy swipe at the President over the spate of insecurity as well as sundry issues in the region and young people on social media have reacted to it:
Good Morning to Northern Elders Forum. https://t.co/MTJJniWS46

According to them, they are disappointed that as it appears, President Buhari is not doing anything about the near-daily killings being reported in the North and some Twitter users shared that the President is being blind towards his own people and Nigeria as a nation.
The whole nation have rejected him including his own state people and the Northern Elders Forum.
GCFR shouldn't be a gift you dash out emotionally, it should be a reward for those with proven track records regardless of tribe.
Sadly, your Next Level remains 3 more years. 😂

SW Buharists are more northern than the North. Northern Elders Forum and northern youths have called out the failure of Buhari, but some Tinubu loyalists are hellbent on stating otherwise. To them Buhari should be shielded till the entire country collapses from his incompetence.

Northern Elders are saying President Buhari Has Failed The Nation.
Well, I don't believe this, the North is doing wonderfully well Under Baba.
There’s Security in the north and
Boko Haram has been technically defeated. Ooin Buhari is doing well, Sai Baba ! 4 + 4 + 4 😊

Northern elders said Buhari has failed.
This is coming after northern youths took to Twitter last week to call out the incompetence of Buhari.
So what would the South West Twitter APC e-thugs do?
Ogundamisi & the likes?
We told these children of perdition.
Sai Baba 4+4+4+4

The controversy that arose from Buhari taking office was also started in this trend, as many reminded the Northerners that a huge number of them voted for him to run the nation. Many stressed that their belief in the President is dying by the day as they pointed out that more trivial issues are now being given attention to than things that matter.
I won't be deceived into believing Northern elders are not happy with Buhari.
They are only clamouring for their "percentage".
If you place Buhari on the ballot today again, they are ready to shout Sai baba.
In reality, Buhari is the Party.

Others shared that the Northern Elders are only coming out now because, somehow, the pain that many other Nigerians have expressed over the years is only now, affecting them.
The Northern Elders Forum, remember them? The darling Northern mouthpiece of the opposition under GEJ. Everything and anything they said was gospel truth. If you didn't accept it, you were a nincompoop.
Now hear them. If you don't accept this now, you're a cretinous nincompoop! pic.twitter.com/19aONdDMab

You Are Mere Irritants, Featherweight, Presidency Replies Northern Elders Forum | Sahara Reporters https://t.co/aoX2KILUlR
— Sahara Reporters (@SaharaReporters) June 15, 2020
However, the Presidency has replied to the Elders from the North as they tagged them as ‘Mere Irritants, Featherweight,’ in a statement released by the office. Their reply has also opened up a conversation about how the Presidency may have been abusing its powers to the detriment of Nigerians.
I think Femi Adesina is tasked to respond to anything North while Garba is tasked to respond to anything South….
I remember when Garba called Wole Soyinka a mere fiction writer. And now Femi called Northern Elders Forum irritant or something. Division of labour

This trend is however, bringing the attention to the Presidency to the fact that Nigerians across regional divides feel enough is yet to done to better the lives of Nigerians as people and the call is for the government at the federal level to do better in securing the lives of Nigerians across the federation.
