The merger talks between opposition political parties Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) look to be nearing the final stages of negotiations. Late last night, Nasir El-Rufai of the CPC tweeted:
Where CPC office is not easily located, join the ACN as we are likely to merge with this and perhaps other parties within the shortest time.

So it looks like the negotiations are drawing to a close, and a new party is in the offing for Nigeria.
