How Kogi governor, Idris Wada won PDP ticket for a second term

Governor of Kogi state, Idris Wada, yesterday night, won the primary election, to represent the Peoples Democratic Party in the upcoming governorship polls.

The election was supervised by the governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Uguawanyi

The result of the primary was announced late at night, at about 9:42pm on Monday.

Wada won the election by what can be described as a landslide.

He polled 709 votes to beat Isa Echoho, who scored 139 votes in the election, which took place at the Lokoja stadium.

Wada will go now head-to-head with the candidate of the All Progressives Congress,  Abubakar Audu, in the governorship election of November 21.
