The senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity Mallam Garba Shehu has denied claims in the media that the Federal Government had begun investigations into the activities of former governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Charles Soludo and Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
Over the weekend news filtered in that both men were being investigated.
The report came just few days after both men had spoken against the economic policies of the Buhari-led administration.
The checks I made today indicated that the Presidency is unaware of the reported probe of Sarkin Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II & Prof. Soludo.

Where did that report come from? Under our constitution which President @MBuhari swore to uphold, it is not a crime to offer suggestions.
