On Sunday, in Elele community, near Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, two cousins, Aishetu and Ayibaba, were allegedly caught in a bush path committing incest and paraded by the villagers in the village square.

The scandal was worse because Ayibaba is the son of a highly placed chief in the community, and Aishetu, who is his first cousin, is reportedly married with three kids.

The duo were caught while engaging in sexual acts under a cashew tree. They were consequently dragged to the village square naked, while villagers thronged the square to have a glimpse of them.

According to a Vanguard report, Aishetu’s three children were in the crowd while their mother was being paraded without clothes on before the public.

“We learnt that they have been involved in this immoral act for a long time now. They always go to the bush to have sex. So some members of our community followed them into the bush and immediately they started under the cashew tree, they were caught and handcuffed immediately,” reported a villager.

The duo were later taken to Ayibaba’s family house, where they met with the family.
