Nollywood (and international now, of course) superstar Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is the latest celebrity to rest her butt (a very ample one, in Omotola’s case) on Toolz’s interview couch, for her show “The Juice”. The interview was as exciting as one can expect from these two stars, so check out 6 things we were able to gleam from the show.

1. Omotola is generous.

Omotola

So generous, in fact, that she was going to give Toolz this lovely top she has on in the picture above (which, by the way, she really wanted us to know was by Iconic Invanity). However that didn’t exactly work out right because…

2. Omotola is business savvy.

"Sorry Toolz, you're not getting this from me"

Too business savvy, to, as she put it, let Toolz “sell it on eBay and then make all the money.”

3. Steven Spielberg is her idol

But don’t worry, Omotola herself acknowledges that it might be a bit weird, seeing as “he’s even a guy and he’s a director”.

4. She was a bit overwhelmed by the whole Time 100 thing

“Sometimes we take ourselves for granted,” Omotola said, acknowledging that the experience made her realise she was even bigger than she thought. “We got into the venue and they only picked 20 portraits to put on the Time Walk Of Fame and my portrait was one of them, that was one of the first moments i was like ‘oh my God this is really happening’ and I got into the venue and I hadn’t really come out of that like ‘wow 20 portraits and they picked me?'” Can we get an “awww”?

5.  She’s ‘seriously’ considered leaving acting for music

When asked if a time would ever come when she would leave music for acting, she replied, “Seriously, I’ve thought about it a couple of times” but acknowledges that she “can’t even if I want to. Things won’t let me.”

6. She doesn’t need your advice on her body

Toolz, naturally, brought up the issue of Omotola’s curves, giving the actress the perfect opportunity to speak her mind on the issue. After letting us know she isn’t impressed by “stick thin” figures and she believes Africans “need to redefine what beauty is,” she launched into the issue of people being happy with their bodies, something she’s clearly very passionate about. “If I’m fat and I’m happy with the way I am for that time, own it. Don’t make people feel like however they are is a sin because it’s not,” she said, getting visibly fired up. “You’re not the one who’s going to tell me that it’s wrong, I’m not stupid! I know that I want to change so I don’t need you to preach that to me, like shut up! Shut up already! You have things you need to fix! You don’t need to tell me ‘you need to get toned and…’ like who told you I don’t have a brain? I can’t think?” Well, damn. We sure wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of Ms. Omosexy’s fury.
