Aimcare NG marks Global Handwashing Day with hygiene symposium

Aimcare NG  is a social enterprise committed to ensuring everyone especially young people have ongoing access to clean water, sanitation and good hygiene regardless of economic status and location.

We are involved in promoting personal hygiene and instigating behavioural change by engaging in hygiene education.

To mark the 2017 Global Handwashing Day, Aimcare with support from the Lagos State Ministry of Health, is hosting a hygiene symposium for secondary school students in Lagos.

You might be surprised to learn that the leading causes of death for children in developing countries are hygiene-related illnesses, which claim more than 1.8 million lives each year. That’s nearly one-third of all child deaths. A simple hygiene practice like hand washing with soap can prevent those deaths.

Hence, the need to teach young people of the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene and particularly handwashing.

Medical Personnel from the Lagos Ministry of Health will facilitate this event.

Venue is Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa.

Time is 10 am.
