With Big Brother Naija comes the need for consistency in content delivering. Afterall, that is what drives up the viewership and keeps millions awake at night and social media ablaze during the day. And overtime, we have witnessed just that: content. With this valuable piece of information in mind, housemates know they have to do what they can to keep people talking. If they talk about you, you stay in the house.
But if there is anything we cannot pinpoint, it has to be picking that thin line between content and reality.
Other than maybe Laycon and Dorathy, Ozo and Nengi are the most talked about housemates in this Lockdown season. Ozo’s persona gives a lot to talk about – 27-years-old, a goal-getter, the cool guy in the house (save for the recent Praise burst), the charming guy with a personality to be left desired. His ability to bond with housemates and his recent coronation as the Head of house makes him the pick of the cards. And yes, it also makes us want to text his name to 32052.
Nengi is not far from the equation either. The 22 year old entrepreneur and former MBGN contestant as had a pretty interesting fanbase so far. Surely, there are one two issues about her personality (and the never ending debate on her real skin colour) but so far so good, she has been ticking the right boxes.
So, what’s the deal with these two?
“I’m giving you one more week…” the conversation between Ozo and Nengi this morning has only added fuel to what we think is going to happen. Ozo the charmer and Nengi the beauty – sounds like a match made in Big Brother Naija heaven.
On Ozo’s part, we could see clearly that our man sees Nengi in a much deeper, intimate light and has expressed his feelings in more ways than one. Whether at that Truth or Dare game or the headache in pucking his Assistant Head of House, Ozo has shown that with Nengi, a smart guy can be dumb when it comes to feelings.
Nengi on the other hand though, has not made things easy. It’s human (with all due respect) to not know what you want at times, resulting into a back and forth oscillation in your attitude. Nengi made it clear that she has no plans for a relationship in the house. But what happens to her whenever Ozo’s name is mentioned? She even made it known to Neo that she would pick Ozo over anyone else in the house if such opportunity was made available.
It is safe to say that Nengi is clearly weighing her options and certainly trying to avoid trouble (Dorathy is friends with Ozo). And if you are like me who doesn’t believe in the man-lady bestie thing, then Nengi has a reason to really avoid trouble.
