Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, trial judge in the treasonable felony case against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has allegedly barred journalists from covering proceedings with their phones or cameras.
According to Daily Post, an operative of the Department of State Service (DSS) informed reporters about the order at the entrance of the courtroom on Monday.
The operative was quoted as saying, “Madam (the judge) gave the order; she said no journalists should be allowed inside with their phones and their cameras.”
It is however, unclear if Justice Nyako actually gave such an order or the operative was acting on his own.
