Boko Haram insurgents disguised as traders, have attacked Damasak town, a farming and fishing community in Borno State.
The terrorists hit the community around 11am on Monday, after which they went to the centre of the market and opened fire on buyers and sellers in the vicinity.
According to reports, Nigerian troops have arrived the scene and engaged the insurgents in a firefight that is presently raging.
