This is one act of bravery or maybe stupidity……

In an attempt not to lose expensive alcohol to airport security, a woman in China did something very brave, chugged down a $189 bottle of Remy Martin XO Excellence.

Yeah, you read right…

As is the norm in airports, some things aren’t allowed and will not pass through the screening phase. This woman, whose last name is Zhao, at Bejing Capital International Airport, on her flight to Wenzhou maybe thought she could sneak her cognac past the security. On realizing it’s going to be a couldn’t part with her precious cognac and decided to down the whole thing.

And instead of handing her cognac over to TSA officials, she chugged the entire bottle. So, in a truly collegiate fashion—you know back when tossing even a swig of boxed wine or half-pour of vodka was blasphemy—popped the cap and proceeded to drink the entire thing. Yes, all at once.

And as expected, the thing didn’t go down well with her, as she was drunk immediately, started tantrums before she collapsed drunk and unfortunately couldn’t continue with her flight, as she was wheeled down in wheel chair and allowed to rest even before officials allowed her family to take her away.

it’s not shocking that she was considered too buzzed to fly. She apparently then started shouting incoherently at airport officials before falling down drunk at the terminal.

police officer told the South China Morning Post that “she was so drunk, she couldn’t even stand up by herself,” which is why authorities brought her to a room via wheelchair “so she could rest.”

Once there, she was given medical care around midday and wasn’t released by police to her family until she sobered up at about 7 p.m. And then the hangover began.

Deep.

That was an impressive display of bravery, actually it’s stupidity, it could have been worse than a terrible hangover.
