The final lap of the eighth installment of the Nigerian Breweries sponsored reality television show, Gulder Ultimate Search: Champion of Champions, kicks off with the GUS team paying a courtesy visit to the Edo State’s governor, Adams Oshiomole.

2:40pm The Governor is represented by his deputy, Dr. Pius Odibu. The team include the adventurous show’s 30 contestants; the hosts, Darey Art Alade and Bob Manuel Udoku; Nigerian Breweries officials and press men.
2:55pm “We return to Edo state for this show because we found a conducive and challenging location that we seek here, but also because we know we are guaranteed of the community’s hospitality,” said Mr Tony Agemome, marketing manager NBC.
3:04pm The contestants where introduced by Vinda Edem, NBC’s PR person, and amongst them is a serving mobile police officer.
3:10pm The Deputy Governor Praised the show and jokes about it being the only show that makes nigerian females reveal their real ages; “otherwise they are always 21,” he said. He also guarantees the safety of the team.

3:30pm After the warm reception, some traditional Benin dancers entertained the contestants at the Government Office.
The courtesy call ended within an hour. The contestants will move to the show’s location tomorrow, September 13, 2011. Join us for a live update of their arrival at the Egbetua Quarter, Ososo Mountains in Akoko Edo in Edo State.
8:00am Contestants were divided into three groups; only one group set out for the Ososo Mountains.
11:18am The first set of contestants arrive at Ososo.
