On Sunday 19 February, British band, The Invisible will be performing at Jazzhole, in Ikoyi – Lagos.
The Invisible are a South London trio who create ‘exploratory, expansive pop music’ that operates on two distinct levels simultaneously: it’s instant of hit, melodies exact and hooks neatly barbed, yet there are cerebral qualities.
Their eponymous debut album released 9 March 2009, was nominated for the Mercury Prize, selected as critics choice for iTunes album or the year and will soon be playing live at the free evening jazz event.
Instrumentalists and vocalists are especially welcome, and will get an opportunity to jam/perform alongside The Invisible. Interested persons should send an email expressing interest to tolu.ogunlesi (AT) ng.britishcouncil.org
