CLB Academy Spelling Bee Kicks Off November 18th, 2017

As global attention spans reduce, many studies have recorded a significant decline in the reading habits of students. Some of these studies have attributed the slump to our increasing dependence on social media and other online communication platforms, proper spelling has been replaced with abbreviations and this has resulted in the wrong pronunciation of words.

This is why Centre for Law & Business in collaboration with Qtaby Events seeks to restore the reading culture through CLB Academy Spelling Bee Competition, and also present the opportunity to pupils and students from both private & public schools to express themselves in spelling, pronunciation and usage of words.

The Competition which is organised by Centre for Law & Business and Qtaby Events will facilitate a healthy reading culture while fostering excellent syntax and semantics in children. It aims to also improve pronunciation, communication & spelling skills in children/teenagers while consciously eradicating the rampant use of abbreviations in writing among children and teenagers today.
