What a world where a country’s budget gets carted away, right? As if Nigeria’s budget hadn’t already been the subject of enough drama.

But here we are and the order of the day is a police raid on the home of a sitting Senator, from where the officers of the law carted away the 2017 budget along with a number of other documents belonging to, and/or in the care of Danjuma Goje.

Well, that’s if you believe the Senator representing Gombe central. The Nigerian police insist no such document was stolen. Of course, this lack of clarity regarding serious events is nothing new. But what stands out as particularly bewildering is Senator Goje waiting about a week to sound the alarm regarding the alleged incident.

Such is the lot of Senator Danjuma Goje who finds himself at the bottom of our list this week.
