The Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial district, Dino Melaye can be described as someone who courts controversy anywhere he goes. From his days in the House of Representatives where he engaged in a free for all fight, to his love for flashy cars, Melaye is not shy of being the centre of attention.
The embattled senator, who is facing a recall process was seen at the Nothing Hill Carnival having some fun. Posting pictures of his adventure, Melaye was really having a roll until he decided to test his popularity. Mounting the podium, the cerebral senator began a rendition of his hit track, Ajekun Iya. While singing, he expected his listeners to do a sing-along but he was shocked as he received boos and the middle finger.
In the week under review, the senator representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Isah Misau took the Nigeria Police Force to the cleaners over its statement labelling him a “playboy and a deserter”. Misau, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Navy had accused the Inspector General Police, Ibrahim Idris of engaging in corrupt practices. Reacting to the Police’s allegations, Misau described them as false urging the security agency to address the issues he raised concerning its helmsman.
