Entertainment Roundup: Davido accused of dumping friend’s corpse in hospital; Hector Jobarteh’s suspected killer got N7,000 for the job | More stories

Davido is in the news again for more than one reason! Here’s everything you may have missed on the entertainment scene yesterday and others that unraveled while you slept and are still buzzing today.

OBO is now the most followed Nigerian celebrity on Instagram

With 5 million accounts on his tail, music superstar, Davido has now become the most Nigerian celebrity on Instagram.

Wizkid may have sold out the Royal Albert Hall in London but he will need a million more followers to catch up with the OBO as he comes not so closely behind with 4 million Instagram fans.

We hope the IF singer will be able to celebrate his social media milestone as he has just been linked to the death of a man.

Shocking? Yes, we know.

Late Tuesday evening, former Nollywood actress, Caroline Danjuma took to Instagram to accuse Davido of dumping the body of a man known as Tagbo in the hospital and running away.

The now deleted Instagram post read, “Davido where is Tagbo …. he was with you and ur crew last night … you all wore face cap to hide your identities after he died in ur car.. u dumped him at general hospital and ran away … the law must play its role this time .. you all better provide Tagbo alive .. @davidoofficial.

Caroline later went on to share a group photo of Davido, the late Tagbo and a few other guys with a caption that pays homage to the deceased and maintaining her claims that he was left to die.

Meanwhile…

Davido is yet to make any reference to the allegations and has gone on to promote his upcoming African tour which comes right after his just concluded 30 billion World Tour.

Davido will be performing in Zimbabwe, Guinea, South Africa, Ivory Coast but with five dates in Nigeria. He has also announced that more dates will be added.

Psquare’s Paul Okoye has one major regret

One-half of the Psquare duo, Rudeboy aka Paul Okoye revealed via Twitter on Tuesday that he made “a serious mistake last year” and it was the day he was shooting “his first ever solo music video”.

He shared a photo clip from the video of Psquare’s 2016 hit track, Bank Alert so we get the sense that the song was actually Paul’s solo project but was convinced to tag Peter aka Mr P along.

Peter has yet to deny Paul’s claims so we’ll hold on to these facts for now.

Hector Jobarteh’s suspected killer claims he got only N5,000 for the job

The suspect who was arrested in connection with the murder of Gulder Ultimate Search 3 winner, Hector Jobarteh has made a lengthy confession to the police.

Ismail Adeyemi revealed that the contract he got was to rob Jobarteh but he shot the man in error.

He also added that he made only N5,000 from the operation: “I gave the deceased phone to my younger brother who sold the phone for N7,000 at the Ikeja Computer Village. I gave my brother N2,000 while I pocketed N5,000.”
