Stan Lee drops $1bn POW! lawsuit amid legal trouble
Stan Lee has dropped a $1 billion lawsuit against POW! Entertainment, in which the comic book writer and Marvel icon claimed he had been duped into signing away the exclusive right to his name.

A joint statement was issued Monday by Lee and by POW! Entertainment, now owned by Hong Kong’s Camsing International, announcing that the suit had been dismissed.
Janet Jackson honours her late father Joe at ESSENCE Festival
Janet Jackson is currently on tour.
During her stop at New Orleans’ Essence Festival on Sunday, she took a moment to speak publicly about her late father Joe Jackson for the first time since he passed away in June after a battle with cancer.
“Without his drive, his strength, we wouldn’t have this success,” she told the crowd.
“We’re a black family that came from Gary, Indiana, and we broke all kinds of records around the globe. That’s the truth.”
Watch her speech below via The Hollywood Reporter.
Janet also admitted that his passing had been hard on her, so much so that she wasn’t sure whether she should cancel her appearance and even her tour.
“I think my father [would’ve] said, ‘Janet, please finish what you started. And I will be there with you every step of the way in your heart.’ So here I am.”
