EPL Roundup: Everton forces Brighton & Hove Albion to a draw | Newcastle United ended their awful run

Here’s a roundup of all English Premier League matches today.

Everton forces Brighton & Hove Albion to a draw

Brighton looked set to secure their third successive home league win when Anthony Knockaert slotted home in the 82nd minute after Jose Izquierdo’s shot was blocked by Michael Keane.

In the 90th minute, Seagulls defender Bruno elbowed Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the area, after which Wayne Rooney slotted it in.

Southampton FC plays draw with Newcastle United

Newcastle United ended their awful run of results at St Mary’s Stadium as Rafa Benitez’s men drew 2-2 with Southampton.

Isaac Hayden gave the Magpies a first-half lead with an excellent finish from outside the area, before Manolo Gabbiadini equalised after the break.

But the scoreline was level for just 86 seconds before the tireless Ayoze Perez pounced on a rebound to fire in from a tight angle.

However, Florian Lejeune conceded a needless penalty in the 75th minute, which Gabbiadini duly dispatched.
