3 other Jonathan-ministers to likely get the Diezani treatment

Following the United Kingdom arrest of former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, 3 other ministers of the Goodluck Jonathan administration, are said to be next in line.

Diezani was arrested and subsequently released on bail, in London on Friday, for alleged corruption.

While the Jonathan-ministers who had dealings with her, are said to be jitters as a result of her arrest, The Nation reports that an anti-graft agency source, has revealed that Diezani’s case is: “just one of the few cases of ex-ministers under investigation.”

The source was quoted to have said:

“We have at least about three issues at hand but I will not disclose their names,” the source said, adding, “do not forget that these three cases are outside the matter of ex-Minister Stella Oduah which is stuck in court. We have made our position known on this.

“The depletion of the $1billion in Sovereign Wealth Fund by about $700million is one of the priority cases with anti-graft agencies. There are also the issues of reckless granting of tax waivers to oil firms.”
