The last half decade has given us quite a number of Hollywood meets Nollywood movies, from Tobi (2012), Turning Point (2014) to Tempting Fate (2015). Still, though, these movies don’t necessarily have the best of stories or acting quality. Maybe with Alexandra, the newest installment in this sub-genre, we will finally get a cross-the-pond pairing worth our salt.
In the upcoming film Alexandra, love, passion and revenge make for a deadly mix. The film tells the story of a young Nigerian woman (Freda Steffl) who meets and falls in love with an American (Rob Hays) online. When she moves to the United States of America to live with her spouse, her nightmare begins.
Produced by Freda Steffl and directed by Robert Peters, Alexandra also stars Vivica A Fox, Joseph Benjamin, Ada Ameh and Rob Hays. The movie premiered in Atlanta on the 21st of April and will hit Nigerian cinemas on the 4th of May.
