It is no longer news that the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has been suspended by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Sanusi was away in Niger Republic with other governors of West African central banks when he was informed of his supension.

The suspended governor has opened up on the development in an interview granted to CNBC Africa.
