INCREDIBLE: INEC ‘registered a 37-year-old male BOWL OF RICE as voter’ in Anambra elections (See Photo)

The recently concluded governorship elections in Anambra were controversial for a number of reasons.

First the names of some duly registered voters were said to have been excluded, including that of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the state, Tony Nwoye.

Also, the election was declared inconclusive and supplementary polls were organized and subsequently boycotted by some opposition parties including the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It has now also been alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission also erred in the registration process as they ‘ registered a bowl of rice’ as a legitimate voter.

According to SaharaReporters:

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented a bowl of rice as one of the registered voters during the recently concluded gubernatorial election in Anambra State.

The bowl of rice pictured in INEC’s voter’s roll was registered as a 37 year old male voter in Umuerodili township in Anambra State.
