In a bid to improve his relationship with former vice president Atiku Abubakar, the governor of Adamawa state, Bindow Jibirilla has nominated Atiku’s daughter for commissioner.
Fatima Atiku Abubakar was listed as one of 22 nominees sent by Jibirilla on Thursday to the state House of Assembly for screening.
Also, two associates of Atiku were nominated, a former gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ibrahim Mijinyawa and Umar Daware.
The two leaders belonged to different political camps in the past.
A former director of press and public affairs to former Governor Murtala Nyako, Ahmed Sajoh, was also nominated for commissioner.
The list has two former commissioners of the Nyako administration, namely, Lilian Kayode, and Mohammad Mustapha.
Four women made the list; Shanti Victoria Shashi, Kaletapwa Farauta, Fatima Atiku Abubakar and Lilian Nabe Kayode.
