Senators under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party have asked Senate President, Bukola Saraki to declare Senator Andy Uba’s seat vacant.

Uba on Tuesday had defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The demand was made by Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio on behalf of the caucus at the plenary.

They also called for the removal of Uba as Chairman, Senate Committee on Public Accounts.
