According to reports from ‘The Daily Star’, a Beirut news platform, a Lebanese man, Saadallah al-Saklawi has been reportedly abducted in Nigeria.
The report stated that the abductors of the Lebanese citizen are demanding $500,000 (N80,939,625) as ransom money.
The website failed to mention what part of Nigeria the man was kidnapped from, but it added that negotiations to facilitate his release, is currently ongoing.
Just last year, on 23 December, gunmen took hostage a Lebanese businessman, Hassan Zaid, at a factory in the Sharada Industrial Area, Kano.
He was however, released four days later on 27 December after negotiations were concluded and an undisclosed ransom was paid for his release.
