[The Legislative Blog]: What’s Senate President Saraki doing in Borno today?

Not like we’re stalking the Senate President. It’s the weekend so feel free to travel, sir.

We’re just a tad curious about this “visit” to Borno with what looks like a delegation in tow.

Only yesterday, Bukola Saraki was in Minna partying with the creme de la creme of Nigerian politics at the wedding of Halima, the last daughter of former military president, Ibrahim Babangida.

We love love love this photo, by the way!

So, Saraki is in Borno today grateful to President Buhari, the Nigerian army and the state’s governor, Kashim Shettima for the restoration of relative peace in the state.

In Nigeria’s Northern region, Borno state was the most affected by the activities of terrorist sect, Boko Haram. It is also the home to many of the settlement camps for Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs) in the region.

Look who else is in Borno? The usual suspect, Dino Melaye.

All we know about this visit, according to Saraki’s Twitter, is the restoration and sustenance of peace in the state. But we’re sure there’s more.
