French President Emmanuel Macron seems not to have found an ally in Britain.
Macron in a bid to salvage his declining popularity will be travelling to some of the poorer Balkan states to make an odd request, The Express reports.
The young President has concluded arrangements of talks in Romania and Bulgaria over three days to allegedly push for a better treatment of French workers over what he calls an unfair labour competition from the EU’s poorer states.
Mr Macron who recently faced a stiff criticism of his proposed labour law will make stops in Austria, Romania and Bulgaria, between August 23 and 25.
Mr Macron who had previously stated he would be keen to be the bridge between London and Brussels, on behalf of the EU spoke to a French newsletter with a suspicious expression of a future without Britain.
He said, “In the summer I will take a tour of the European capitals and propose a five-year roadmap to give the eurozone a real budget and a true 27-member Europe of the environment, industry and Of migration management.”
