Miracle will win this season of #BBNaija and here’s why

Big Brother Season 3 (Double Wahala) has indeed been full of drama – the MiNa and BamTeddy sex scenes, the wailing from Alex when Leo was evicted. Teddy A’s tears when Bambam was evicted after host Judas ‘Ebuka’ Iscariot had partied with them. The return of Khloe (who was disqualified) and Anto (who was evicted the previous week) to play for the money and the routine fights between Cee-C and Tobi on Saturday nights after the house party have been part of this year’s edition.

As the show comes to an end, there have been various postulations on who will emerge the ultimate housemate between, Miracle, Nina, Alex, Tobi and Cee-C come Sunday. But before I give my prediction, let’s do a quick flashback on the voting patterns at each eviction since the show began.

See photos below:

Here’s a brief analysis of the finalists and their chances ahead of Sunday’s finale.

Cee-C

Cee-C has been up for nomination every eviction week since the show began. This is unsurprising as she is controversial and many times rude and disrespectful to the other housemates. Her recent unrestrained outburst on Tobi where she used many unprintable names on the young man is fresh in the memory of followers of the show.

Despite her unpleasant attitude, she has always been saved from eviction by viewers and has also polled decent votes on her own or as a pair with Tobi and Lolu.

Cee-C’s followership and fanbase cuts across Africa as the majority of the praise and support she gets on the show comes from other African countries, particularly, South Africa. This can be seen when watching the show, as the social media messages pressing her are from South Africans. But this was proven on Wednesday when Blue Mbombo, a South African reality TV star and Mzanzi’s sexiest woman for 2016 tweeted her support and willingness to donate airtime so that South Africans could vote en masse for Cee-C.

Cee-C’s verbal attack on Tobi did not go down well with many Nigerian celebs, females, especially who took to their Twitter accounts to dismiss her and her behaviour.

Will Wednesday’s outburst work against her? The viewers and voting community will decide.

Tobi

Tobi, the victim of Cee-C’s unmannerly behaviour has a strong following. He is intelligent, competitive and has proven to have some restraint and self-control with his actions on Wednesday. However, he has a running mouth and talks about other people a lot.

He has been able to gather some strong performances, winning Head of House at least three times and has also done well in other tasks in the house. Anytime he has been up for eviction he has polled decent votes.

The strength of Tobi’s following may be too early to call using the voting patterns as he has not been up for eviction as often as Miracle and Cee-C. His reaction to Cee’C’s outburst is likely to swing some sympathy votes his way and this may work in his favour.

Alex

Going by her personality in the house. Alex is a free-spirited, happy-go girl who loves dancing and dresses in colours that appear funny to others. She has some sense of confidence in herself and has benefited to some extent by her pairing with Tobi, which has seen her escape being put up for eviction whenever Tobi became Head of House.

Alex’s following has a semblance to that of Debie-Rise (y’all remember the guitar-playing singer from last year’s show) as her silent but loyal voters have helped her remain in the house. Alex’s chances of winning the money are slim and she will do well to be satisfied to make it to the top five.

Nina

Many followers of the show view 22-year-old Nina as one whose existence and stay in the show is based on her affiliation with fan favourite Miracle. Nina came into the house waving the ‘I am the youngest’ card. She took this further, weeks into the game by accusing some housemates of bullying her. This strategy seemed to have worked for her as she garnered sympathy votes from viewers.

Nina has been up for eviction thrice, once with Miracle and twice as an individual. As expected she emerged tops when paired with Miracle. During her second nomination, she came out tops yet again, beating Cee-C, Teddy A and Bambam to second, third and fourth place respectively, amassing almost twice Cee-C’s vote. This huge gap happened because she received votes from Miracle fans, who voted for their man’s ‘girl’. In her third nomination, the outcome was different as she came fourth, with a little percentage difference separating her and Alex in fifth. The change in voting pattern was obvious. Miracle was also nominated, and his fans chose to vote wholeheartedly for him, leaving none to spare for Nina.

Miracle

From the voting patterns, Miracle Ikechukwu, a 24-year-old pilot leads the way in every ramification. Every time he has come up for eviction, either as a pair (with Nina – his romantic partner or Anto – his strategic partner) or as an individual he has come out tops. The vote margin between him and the second-placed pair or individual at every turn has been convincing.

Miracle is likeable, but that is not all he has going for him as he has brought his A-game to tasks assigned to housemates, winning the majority of the Payporte Friday Arena night games and also performing considerably well in other intellectual competitions. He also has a huge following outside the house. This fanbase has always shown up for him every time he was nominated for possible eviction and have stayed true to him.

Now that the competition is at home stretch, his fans and followers will turn up in the numbers with their votes and crown him the show’s winner.

So as the show ends on Sunday, here’s how the housemates will emerge:

  1. Miracle
  2. Tobi
  3. Cee-C
  4. Nina
  5. Alex
