The Nigerian Players Union which comprises of active and retired football players has announced that it will officially intervene by sending a letter to Football’s governing body, FIFA, over non-payment of players salaries by the Nigeria Football Federation and Nigeria Professional Football league, an act further pronounced as clubs suffered financially during the Coronavirus enforced lockdown.

Courts adjusts Maina’s bail conditions
The bail conditions granted to former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina was on Monday, adjusted by the Federal High Court in Abuja. Recall that the former pension chairman was granted bail of N1 billion by Justice Okon Abang on November 25, 2019. He was also directed to produce two sureties who must be serving senators who are not standing any criminal trial in any court in the country.
FG reopens schools, lifts ban on interstate travels
The Federal government has extended the ease of lockdown beginning from today, June 30 to July 29. Announcing this at the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID19, the National Co-ordinator, Dr Sani Aliyu, said the extension of the eased lockdown however comes with some modifications.
Aliyu mentioned that the ban on interstate travel will be lifted as from July 1st. He said interstate travel must only be done outside the national curfew hours which is between 10pm and 4am.
Giadom hands over leadership of APC to Governor Buni
Acting national chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Victor Giadom has handed over the leadership of the party to Governor Mai Mala Buni who was recently appointed as chairman of the caretaker committee.
At the handing over ceremony which took place at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Monday June 29, Giadom assurred the committee of his readiness to partner with them to achieve the party goals and objectives towards a successful national convention.
