Barring any unforeseen developments, Nyesom Wike’s fate and continued stay as Governor of Rivers State, will be determined today, Saturday.
Dakuku Peterside of the All Progressives Congress is contesting the April 11 governorship election in Rivers State.
According to independent and international observers, the election was marred by violence, massive rigging, intimidation of voters and snatching of ballot boxes.
The Justice Mohammed Ambrosa-led Rivers State Elections Tribunal is expected to deliver judgment on the case today.
Wike, Dakuku and INEC’s counselsmade their final arguments before the tribunal on Thursday, after which it adjourned indefinitely.
Information however, surfaced on Friday, that the tribunal would deliver judgment by 10am today.
