Oh, really: Mitt Romney ‘had no desire’ to run for president – Tagg Romney

Mitt Romney was a reluctant challenger to President Obama – a deeply private person who wanted nothing to do with the spotlight of the White House, his eldest son says.
In a wide-ranging election postmortem published Sunday by The Boston Globe, Tagg Romney contradicted the commonly held opinion about his father – that his campaign for the nation’s highest office never really ended when he bowed out of the Republican primaries in 2008.
Tagg Romney told The Globe that he and his mother, Ann, had to talk Mitt into running. “He wanted to be President less than anyone I’ve met in my life. He had no desire to … run,” Tagg Romney said.
