The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has reacted to rumors of its spokesperson, Olisa Metuh’s impending invitation by the anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The PDP reacted to the news through its Twitter page in a statement signed by Richard Ihediwa, Special Assistant To PDP National Publicity Secretary.
The statement categorically stated that Olisa Metuh has never been invited by the EFCC since the inception of the anti-graft agency and the peddlers of the rumors only seek to tarnish his image as well as paint the opposition party as a corrupt entity.
The PDP further stated that the media trial of suspected corrupt politician which is fast becoming a norm in the Nigerian political scene is a step forward to tyrannical democracy.
