Former Abia governor, Orji Uzor Kalu has been freed from the Nigerian correctional facility in Kuje, Abuja this morning. The senator who was jailed for allegedly stealing public funds was moved to his residence off Queen Amina Street within the perimeter of Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
It has sparked conversations on social media, talking points arising from the weaponising of the justice system to release an alleged criminal to the fact that justice, especially for politicians, still remains a mirage.
