Prestige Anchor International, organisers of Prestige Anchor Leadership, Empowerment and Capacity Building Awards (PALEC AWARDS) and Student Leadership and Entrepreneurship Conference (SLC) has set a date for Season four, with the theme: The Mavericks.

The event to be hosted by the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) will hold on Friday May 17th, 2019, by 9 am (Red Carpet), 10 am (Event Start) at New Moot Court by First Bank Lecture Theater, OAU, Ile Ife and will see special guests and speakers including: Rev. Ijeoma Eteng Emeribe (President/Founder of Women Africa International), Lieutenant Commander Azeez Oluwole Saheed (CEO, FarmKonnect Agribusiness Nigeria Limited), ESV. Emmanuel Okanwene Wike (Board Member of Greater Port Harcourt Development Authority, First Vice President of the NIESV and CEO, Emma Wike and Partners), Dr. Ken Giami (Founder and CEO of African Leadership (UK) Limited, Chairman of trustees of Centre for Economic & Leadership Development), Mr. Adelana Olamilekan (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Carex International Limited), Barrister Ayodele Oni (Partner, Bloomfied Law Practice), Ambassador Nwodi Daniel Chinedu (Executive Director/Founder of Student without Borders International), Idowu Olanrewaju Oladiamonds (Lead and Principal of the Oladiamonds Company), Michael Kolade Seun (CEO, Kingscab), Hon. The Student Leadership and Entrepreneurship Conference is an annual leadership and entrepreneurship summit which aims to preach leadership and inculcate the true spirit of stewardship in campus leaders’ while building entrepreneurial skills in youths.

Prestige Anchor Leadership, Empowerment and Capacity Building Award is an award committed to recognizing and awarding students, individuals, firms, platforms who had served one way or the other to solving societal leadership problems faced by our vibrant and talented academic and social environment, empowering youths of today and building their skills and capacity and aswell celebrating the advocate of media and information literacy.

The event will feature Featuring Leadership Talks, Panel Discussion, Entrepreneurship Talk, Awards, Raffle Gifts and Giveaways, entertainment among others.

The award ceremony holds same day by 6:00pm Prompt (5 PM Red Carpet) with 49 awardees cutting across the South West region.

Speaking on the event, the convener of the event, Adebayo Nathaniel Ademola said that “the university is a camp ground for building and equipping tomorrow’s leaders even more, the transformers of today as youths represent a large part of the productive society. It became inevitable that what happens in campus directly affects the circular world. Thus, the importance of this event.”

The event is expected to bring together great minds and delegates from all the south western campuses in Nigeria.
