Punch reporter beaten to stupor by PDP thugs in Ekiti

A Punch correspondent stationed in Ekiti, Kamarudeen Ogundele, was attacked and beaten to a stupor by thugs believed to be loyal to the Peoples Democratic Party.

The incident occurred in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, June 3, while the PDP supporters continued to lay siege to prevent the All Progressives Congress lawmakers from sitting in the state National Assembly.

Ogundele was reportedly trying to speak to residents when the thugs attacked him and beat him to a pulp.

While attempting to take the picture of women praying for peace in the state, his cloth was torn into shreds by the hoodlums after seizing his phone.
