Theresa May had her first Queen’s speech this morning and some viewers were more focused on the Queen’s colourful look, as it is the first time she is giving a speech without her crown in 43 years. 

Leaving out the usual robes and heavy crown, today marked the first Queen’s speech in 43 years that saw Her Royal Highness arrive without her royal dress.

Choosing to wear a blue and yellow hat to give the speech, comments suggest that Her Royal Highness was paying a particularly sneaky tribute to the EU flag.
