Russia investigation: FBI sought cooperation from Manafort’s son-in-law

The FBI has shifted attention to Jeffrey Yohai,  Paul Manafort’s son-in-law in the ongoing probe of the latter. Manafort, a former Trump’s campaign manager as earlier reported yesterday is in the middle of an ongoing investigation of his business dealings and the Russia meddling into the 2016 elections.

Federal investigators have resulted to seek cooperation from Paul Manafort’s son-in-law in an effort to increase pressure on him

The approach on Jeffrey Yohai, is connected to his partnership stake in business deals with Manafort, earlier this summer. One of the people close to the probe said investigators are trying to get “into Manafort’s head.”

The investigation is a broad federal and congressional one into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign coupled with his business and real estate transactions, including the ones that involved Yohai.

The FBI had earlier carried out a raid on Manafort’s home in Alexandria, Virginia, rousing him from sleep and seizing reams of material.
