So ever since you all started wailing about how Yaba is no longer Nigeria’s leading technology cluster – with the escape of both Iyin Aboyeji aligned Andela and Flutterwave, the original travelers who made Yaba – the Co Creation Hub decided to step in and save what is actually a pretty important space.
According to co-founder of the Hub, “the YABA community decided to make an intentional effort to build a solid #Yaba technology and startup cluster.”
So they’ve come up with what they are calling ‘An Open Manifesto’ – “to guide the development of a future YABA that can become the ‘centre of excellence’ for technology in Nigeria and Africa and 7 Pillars were identified as important to building this future YABA.”
The manifesto has 7 pillars and it has been on TechCabal’s Radar platform – and will be there until the end of the month.
“We understand to make this happen, it has to be a collaborative effort from everyone, which is why we want to ensure that process of creating the #OpenManifesto is a joint effort,” Tijani says.
“(They have been published) in a format that allows everyone interested in growing the #Yaba tech cluster to make their contributions. You can review and make your contributions here.
If you care enough about ‘Yaba, turn left here https://radar.techcabal.com/c/yaba-manifesto.
(And of course, the pun was fully intended.)
Come onboard and be a part of this revolution.
Kind Regards,
‘Bosun Tijani
