Reports say men of the Boko Haram Islamic sect have threatened to kill parents of hundreds of schoolgirls abducted at the Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok in Borno State if they do not stop their search for the missing girls.

The parents whose identities were not given told the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Cooperation (BBC) that they have received threats from deadly Islamic militant sect.

The parents were said to have hired about one hundred commercial motorcyclists to go deep into the Sambisa Forest near the Cameroon border to intensify the search for the missing girls.

The search has so far proved abortive.

Two hundred and thirty four schoolgirls are still unaccounted instead of one hundred and twenty nine as previously believed.

We pray for their safe return home.
