3 key PR moves Tiwa Savage has pulled to rescue her brand

‘Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall’ – Confucius

This quote resonates with Tiwa Savage’s resilience, bravery and ability to soar above her marital troubles.

At first, one might have wondered how the Mavin singer was going to get out of the embarrassing and career damaging hullabaloo ignited by her estranged husband – TeeBillz.

However, Tiwa Savage and her PR team have been working overtime to put out the fire in such a tactful manner.

Although the crisis is far from over, it appears they are on the right path to snuffing out the flames.

Here are 3 key moves they’ve made so far to ensure her brand isn’t swept away by this storm.

  1. Stay silent on the matter

Since the interview where she spoke about her marriage to TeeBillz, Tiwa Savage has stayed mum on the subject.

She has avoided public events, thereby denying the press the opportunity to put her on the spot.Tiwa Savage's IG page

She also hasn’t posted anything on her Instagram or Twitter page since April 28 when she released her video – ‘If I start to Talk’.

2. The show goes on

The Mavin songstress hasn’t for any moment, stopped working.

After her viral interview on April 29, by May 1, she was already shooting a music video.

3 days later, she was again on set, for an appearance on Funke Akindele‘s comic series – Jenifa’s Diary.

As a result of this, she has taken the spotlight from her marriage and diverted it to her music and brand – which was and is still the priority.

3. Smile for the camera, like nothing happened

This is a vital and essential rule in PR and Tiwa Savage has been doing that despite the fire on the mountain (back at home).

She has continued to smile, epitomising what Dr Seuss once said – “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

Tiwa Savage understands that in the business of entertainment, you are not given the opportunity to sit around and mope.
