The leadership of the labour movement in the country is insisting that it is wrong for Mimiko, who defected from the party to the PDP last week, to preside over the party’s convention.
The President of the NLC, Mr. Abdulwaheed Omar, who urged members of the union to ignore the convention, said the organisers might have an ulterior motive.

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party on  Thursday in Abuja, warned governors and its state chapters to stop endorsing aspirants for the 2015 general elections.
