From Stephanie Otobo to Kemi Olunloyo | Has anyone noticed the difference between Apostle Suleman and Pastor Ibiyeomie?

Isn’t it weird that we have had two high-profile scandals involving Pastors in one month?

First, it was Apostle Suleman who got hit by the tornado unleashed by Sahara Reporters, Stephanie Otobo. She claims they had been romantically involved and he even promised to marry her. According to her, it was such a good thing, he once handed proceeds from a crusade he held. The last time there was anything as scandalous as this involving a Church leader was four years ago when Ese Walter dragged COZA’s Pastor Fatoyinbo into “robust places”.

Less than a week after, Kemi Olunloyo came into the picture and this is where it might get tricky. The blogger is sort of the Sahara Reporters in this case. She’d published on her blog that the Port Harcourt-based Pastor Ibiyeomie was involved in an adulterous relationship.

You see the similarity? Both men of God have been accused of being adulterers by online news reporters. But you see, while Apostle Suleman allowed the business to drag on for weeks in the media, giving room for the allegations to fly all over the place. Names of other women even started to come in. After Stephanie had already claimed that the Apostle had a penchant for threesomes.

[Let’s not even talk about this video that Apostle Suleman’s wife featured him on to prove things are all good]

Pastor Ibiyeomie on the other hand? He didn’t even utter enough words to catch the media’s attention! Not one!

[Not even when people started to share their own opinion on how he should have handled the situtation]

He just quietly got his lawyers, filed a suit. He even filed a back up one too! Just in case the suit filed under the Cybercrime Act did not work, made a criminal complaint too. Actually, that’s not exactly what it was, we are sure. it just sounds more fun to say there was a backup suit.

But really, the essence of what we are saying is do you see how very differently they each handled the situations? If this were a fashion situation, we’d be asking: “Who rocked it better?”
