And… action! The New York Film Academy returns to Lagos

Del-York International is partnering with the prestigious New York Film Academy (NYFA) to host another four week film making training program in Nigeria. The program will run from 8 August to 3 September 2011 at a prime facility in Badagry, situated in Lagos.

This will mark the second annual edition of a 5-year collaboration between the New York Film Academy and Del-York international, a leding media and communication company. The first edition was held in March 2010 when 400 African students were trained in Abuja.

This year’s program will seeks to train 1000 youths with Niger Delta Development Comission (NDDC) sponsoring 250 students, Edo state, 18 indegenes and the Ministry of Education, 50 students.

Workshops in fourteen fields that range from Film making and acting to directing, final cut projection and cinematography will be offered and will provide students with the ooportunity to gain hands on experience that will enable them create strong films worthy of international distribution.

Online application will close on 18 July 2011 at 17:00hrs (GMT+1). Scholarship application will close on 4, July 2011 at 17:00hrs.

NYFA alumni include actors Al Pacino, Jamie Foxx, Susan Sarandon and directors Steven Spielberg and Stephen Frears.
