Nigerian artiste Wizkid had been nominated for the Grammy awards for the first time.
The musician bagged his nomination in the Album of the Year category in the 59th edition of the award for featuring in Drake’s Album Views, one of the nominated albums.
The Album of the Year category recognises the artist’s performance as well as the overall contributions of featured artistes, producer(s), recording engineer(s) and/or mixer(s).
Wizkid has had a stellar year, as he won at the EME awards, MAMAs, and others.
His feature on Drake’s One Dance, is the most streamed song on Spotify in 2016.
