Day 14 of the Big Brother Naija ‘Pepper Dem’ Reunion was another episode to revisit old issues.

Show host, Ebuka raised the issue of using toxicity and malice to attract brands. For Mercy, she described it as unhealthy, adding that the habit of acting hostile towards one another might help ‘some people’s brand’ but not hers, because she knows her self worth.

“I don’t have to fight anybody to get deals. I don’t have to do any messy thing to get deal,” she added.

The Jackey and Omoshola viral trend

Narrating what had happened, Jackey said she responded to a tweet that passed off as a personal attack because she was consistently tagged by Omoshola’s fans for hours. She however admitted that her response was a bit over the top which made Omashola irate.

Speaking on the incident, Omashsola said he was furious because his initial tweet that started the whole issue wasn’t even about Jackey. The housemates referred to how Omashola had gone off, on Jackey in their Whatsapp group, hauling insults on her the whole day.

The Thelma Car Gift

Asked about her car gift, Thelma explained that the scenario happened at a Meet and Greet set up for her. She noted that a brand that had interest in signing her as their Ambassador was present, and they were the ones who gifted her the car, not her fans as reported in many blogs.

She stressed that even after clearing things up, bloggers kept insisting that it was her fans that got her the car. This for her, was what led to the tag on social media tag that it was an ‘audio gift,’ as they could not believe that her fans could afford to buy her a Benz.

The Mercy Deal with Liquor Brand

About the on and off deal she appears to have with a certain liquor brand, Mercy explained that after reaching an agreement, a number of misunderstandings sullied the deal.

The Pepper Dem Winner added that she made a request to the brand on putting out a disclaimer and an official statement but they refused, leading her to return their money and dissociating herself from the brand.
