Saraki’s wife, Yar’ Adua’s daughter reportedly invited by EFCC for questioning

Toyin Saraki, the wife of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for questioning for alleged money laundering, Premium Times reports.

The report also says that the daughter of former President Umaru Yar’ Adua-  Zainab Dakingari, has also been invited over alleged fraud of N2billion perpetrated during her husband’s tenure as governor.

Zainab is the wife of Saidu Dakingari, former Kebbi State Governor.

An EFCC source disclosed to PT that Saraki has been invited to explain the questionable inflow of funds into companies she has stakes in.

Saraki is expected to report at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja on July 28, 2015, while Dakingari was to report for questioning at the EFCC headquarters today, July 22.

However, Dakingari is said to have informed the EFCC that she is en route Saudi Arabia for the lesser hajj and begged to be allowed to report on ‎July 27.

EFCC spokesp‎erson, Wilson Uwujaren, was quoted to have said: “I’m aware that a new set of suspects w‎ere recently invited. It’s not impossible the two women are among them.”
