The Department of Sate Services (DSS) on Thursday, raided an Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) training cell in Kano.
During the operation, 5 people involved in the creation of the cell were arrested.
The state director of the DSS, Abdullahi Chiranchi, revealed that the suspects were nabbed while they embarked on a journey to Libya and some African countries.
Not much was revealed about the suspects’ identities but they are said to be from Kogi state.
Chiranchi further commended the efforts of the secret service saying the arrest will help hinder every possible move to make Kano a training ground for ISIS.
