Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has arrived Lagos for the groundbreaking of the Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge rail.
Osinbajo arrived Lagos aboard, a Caverton 5N-BSF helicopter alongside Lagos governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
Other dignitaries present at the groundbreaking are host, Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, Oyo and Ogun governors, Abiola Ajimobi and Ibikunle Amosun.
The Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge Line on which construction is about to start is 160km long; from Apapa Ports to Ibadan
The FG has already released N72bn counterpart funding for the Lagos-Ibadan rail project.
